Spinning Water & The Baqua
at Dakota Place Park
Moving matter, such as electricity through a wire, water, or magnetic fields, can move in circles. When the movement of the energy begins to spiral, a vortex is formed.
A spinning vortex was the design concept for the artwork at the former West Seattle electric power substation as it was remade into Dakota Place Park.
Three vortex art works are installed at the park.
